Bird house privacy screen from door slats Sign In/Join

I've found yet another project to use my supply of old slats from doors.

I needed a privacy screen. From "my spot" on the back porch I had a direct view into two neighbors' party spaces -- and they into my sanctuary. I had a roll down screen but that still left a one foot gap.

So I found an old toe kick base in the shed and got out my supply of slats from old doors, glue, brads, primer, and exterior paint and this is what I came up with. My brother made the birdhouse from recycled material years ago.

The spot where the birdhouse is is the exact view I was trying to conceal. This project may only last a year or two, but it will do until something better comes along.

I had to click on this post just to see why a birdhouse needed a privacy screen. LOL Smile

Well done. You are making good use of those slats.

My Life,

That's a great and creative use for those slats. Love all your bird houses too. Looks like the perfect spot to relax and hear the birdies chirp.

Enjoy your privacy!

Why can't I see photos when there's that little round red circle?
