    Finally! A completed project!

A few weeks ago I asked everyone for ideas and so many of you posted great ones. I narrowed in to an inspiration photo that NJTomboy provided. Thanks again Tomboy!

I changed it quite a bit from the photo (which was a Ki and Sue project) and made it fit our needs more.

Just waiting for dh to hang it once he walks in the door from work. Wink

Unfortunately this was the only wall I could fit it on since there are so many cutouts or doorways in my kitchen.

Thanks ladies! You really know how to make a girl feel good.

Beachy1 - Regarding assembling. I picked up this freebie old window screen from a fellow craigslister. I stitched the top burlap pocket on with lightweight hemp (per instructions in a previous issue of Country Home), fused a strip of cotton material on the top of the burlap and hot glued my buttons on each corner of the pocket. I will admit the stitching was not very fun and my finger and thumb are a bit sore still.

I purchased the photo frames from Target on clearance for $1.25/ea. and replaced the glass and backing with corkboard left over from my husband's bachelor days. They're just hotglued in the frames. I attached them to the screen by placing strips of painters tape right on the screen then adhering "velcro" on top of it along with the backs of the frame. They're on pretty snug. And finally the basket is just hung by a leftover little hook from the window treatment of the previous owner of our house.

    ********

Thanks Tomboy for the compliment on the wall color. The kitchen is called corn husk green by Behr which I think will look ten times better once I paint our trim a crisp white. I'll get there! lol.

I picked up a full screen door a few weeks ago. Now I know what I am doing with that screen door. Don't expect pics anytime soon, that screen door is buried in the garage from ****.
