I saw somewhere a pic of a fish aquarium once on a stand and it had been turned into a decorator item. I can't remember the details, but I think they filled it with some sort of decorating items to make a pretty vignette inside. Does that sound familiar to anyone? I am trying to find it.

    Thanks.

That may have been what it was. It probably did have some plants in it, but I don't recall if that was all that was in it. Also, I think they had decorated on top of it with fall decor like pumpkins, gourds, and maybe leaves, etc. It could have been a blog I saw it on. Gee, I wish I could recall more about it, but anyway, if any of you have any pics of fish tanks used in the house as a terrarium or something similar, I would love some ideas.

Don't remember if I've seen a pic like that but what you could do, depending on the look you want, is get some small pieces of driftwood and rocks, some airplants or regular plants, and a small statue and arrange esthetically in the terrarium. You could put some fine gravel in the bottom as a base. I'm sure there are other items you could use instead or as well but my brain says it's bedtime so I'll leave it there. Wink Big Grin

Your ideas are really good, and I'm going to keep the mentioned items in mind. I am thinking there were some pillar candles in the one I saw also. If I ever come across it again, I'll be sure to post a pic here.

    Thank you.

I had the same idea about my fish tank..wanted to make it into a terrarium[?] because I love plants but when I got down to one fish my son came in with the fish from his tank. Maybe someday. I think any kind of houseplants would work. Let me know what you end up doing.

I bought a fish terrarium at a church sale for $1. It is pretty large. I use it on my screened in porch with a glass top on it. Inside it is filled to the brim with large seashells. It is side table height and that is what we use it for.
