    Hi all!

I've been visiting, well not really visiting, but working at my dd's house in nashville. She got a dog about a month or so ago. Her back yard is fenced (privacy fence).

The former owners had a dog pen closed off in the very back of the yard behind the garage. It was 1 section of 4x8, and another almost as big with a gate. All of this had fallen over due to being put up improperly.

We took down the above ground pool last summer, and she planned on using the sandy area for a fire pit. There are some wild cats in the neighborhood, she calls them "sewer" cats. Because they travel through the culverts. So, the goal was to keep the little "terror" from escaping under the fence where the cats travel, and to keep him from eating the cat poo in the GIANT litter box formerly swimming pool base.

So, I made a dog pen out of the 2 sections by reinforcing them and cutting them in half to make them 4 sections 3 ft tall.

I have been working on this for 2 days, and tested it out today. Frown We should change his name from Louie to Houdini! He was able to escape from the newly built dog pen by jumping through the deck rails, onto the deck.

Very tired, and frustrated! But we were able to reuse instead of buying new! Hey, isn't that what t2t is all about?

Sounds like a cute pen and lots of work involved.
I saw a tip on TV a while back that might help?
Put a layer of chicken wire down and cover with dirt. Supposedly the dog doesn't like the feel of the wire when digging. HTH
