my great niece found it on the side of the road, and picked it up for me.
Now.... what to do with it?

Can you see it as a doggie bed in any way? Smile

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

    gail

Great free find, Gail! Hope you post an after pic!

First thing, turn it upside-down to check for manufacturer. Probably not worth much BUT it's a good thing to do with all old furniture. It just could be a good one.

Then, don't be like me and procrastinate cause you have too many ideas floating around! Wink

It would make a great dog bed with the legs cut down.

I'd probably just rip off the upholstery, clean it, and paint it white. Use it as is... somewhere! My Granddaughters would love a chair and a 1/2 like that! That's why DH said no more furniture til I let go of something!!! I've let him move out 4 large pieces for our garage sale so I'm now good to go on accumulating more!

What a great piece of furniture.

Now, let me tell you, I can see those great legs being used for something else.

Good luck and TFS, and be sure to let us see what you do with it.

    Blessings, Cara

That's really neat, and yes, it would make either a great dog bed with the legs cut down, or you could paint to use as originally designed.

I'm boring, but I'd totally be painting it and recovering it with really pretty fabric.

I think it's a great chair. The only thing I'd do to it is put some darker stain on it and reupholster in some really bright cheerful color.

Yup, me, I'd just paint it something fresh, put a new seat on it in coordinating colors and hire a small child to let me read to them in it. Smile Doesn't it look just like the sort of chair you'd read something like, oh, Alice in Wonderland or the Secret Garden in?

Or maybe I've just done too much babysitting in my lifetime. Smile

That looks like a sturdy constructed chair. Could you cut the legs off, attach some heavy chain and make a swing? I'm sure what ever you do, it will be great!
