i was listening to my home repair guru talk radio show host this morning.....

the question was about how this person was struggling to clean the tile in their shower....it just "wasn't coming clean" anymore....

The person used products such as CLR, the Works...It was explained that these products contain a phosphoric acid - that yes, it does clean well, but it destroys the glaze on ceramic tile when used continuously....Leaving unprotected tile...

The remedy was to use those paste wax products that many of you have praised....but for me, it served as a reminder to be careful with what we use....

I just wipe my tile walls down w/ a towel after i shower and i have never had a soap scum build-up....

Thought it was interesting food for thought....

How about this: Plain old lemon oil furniture polish - that's right - takes off scum, and prevents build-up on anything - well because it can't take hold. Once you clean your tile, glass doors, etc. - just rub with lemon oil. And, it smells good too!
