This eight yr old house has bath faucets that are mostly chrome looking, but they have brass handles. We have tried locally to just replace the handles. No luck as of yet. Is it possible to somehow paint the handles with a paint that would look ok and not wear off? Any other suggestions?
Faucet replacement isn't a big job for a lot of DIY types.
And it wouldn't be an expensive job for a handyman or even a plumber.
I say just get the faucets you want. Painting the one you've got just seems like a lot of trouble for the money.
However, you might check with a plumbing supply house (not the big box) to find the right part. If it's made and you can figure out what you need, the plumbing supply house can get it.
check in the yellow pages for a chrome "dipper" i hate the new cheap plastic they make you pay big bucks for...
had a small leak in our kitchen faucet, and dh and i went out spent $95 for chrome piece of plastic..if i had been able to "touch" it before, i'd never bought it...
