My Husband and I bought our house about a year ago and over the weekend we gave our bathroom a facelift (new flooring, new handles on the vanity doors, painted the walls, took the shower doors down and put in new lighting).
We already had a framed mirror that we had used in another house we had lived in and decided to use it over the vanity because it is a beautiful mirror and was the perfect size, however we painted it silver (because our accessories and knobs are a silver pewter color and the frame was an antique brass color) but it turned out looking dull and gray. We do not know what color to go with now weither it be a dark brown or white....what should we do? Our flooring is a brownish tile with specks dark brown and a hint of nutmeg and our walls are a toffee color called brown teepee with the white base molding and doors.

According to me if you invest some more money and buy a new frame like dark brown in shade, it would really help, or if you can post some images of your bathroom i can tell exactly what you should exactly do

One sugestion would be to make a new frame using the same material you used for the molding. That would help to tie it all togather and provide a nice contrast with the wall colors.
