hi, I have a question regarding my 11 year old daughters bathroom, it may just be a matter of opinion. Are girls bathrooms generally done in a white vanity? My husband wants to do a darker vanity like walnut or an espresso shade, but I, for some reason, feel that a girls bathroom should be light. I have picked out a beige ceramic tile and a beige granite vanity top, I would really like an off white, but we need it like yesterday and I would have to special order any off white varities(from H Depot or Lowes). Thanks for any info or opinions.

An 11 year old becomes a HS Senior in just a few short years. Go with a classic look, that both you and she can enjoy. So I say it is a matter of opinion and what seems to suit the rest of the home and your personal taste?

(It is also my opinion that a smaller bathroom will often appear larger and less cluttered, if the walls, vanity, fixtures are all of a similar light tone.)

YES...she will be a teenager in no time! I would go with something more in line with the rest of the house too. If you really want a white vanity, possibly check with building suppliers in your area to see if they have them in stock. We have several here other than HD and Lowes. Just an idea.

<<my 2 cents: unless you have regular housekeeper, make your decisions based on whatever she's capable of maintaining.

I agree with the other posters.
I strongly suggest you keep your fixtures classic and neutral. Something that flows with the house rather than choosing them for an 11 year old.

Then you can let her personalize it by choosing the paint, towels, shower curtain etc. Stuff that is easy to change as she grows.
