I have asked this question recently but cant remember where I posted it so must ask again. On Divine Design she always has the prettiest blue water in the tub. Do you know how to make it that color????

Most likely they add food color...lots of things are done for TV and Magazine pictures that are not "reality".

I also thought of that but would think that food color would stain the tub?

Did they show the tub after it was emptied of the blue water? If it left a blue "stain", they stop the tape, scrub the tub, and proceed. "just like in real life".....

You might check with someplace that sells hot tub or spa supplies.

If you are still following this thread I just saw some stuff on clearance in the Wal-mart garden department that is used to dye pond water blue. You might check it out.

I buy these wonderful "fizz" balls from a local gal who makes soaps, etc. and sells them. She has them in every color and scent. I buy the orange, cream and tan ones because they look so nice in a glass cannister and match my decor. The orange ones turn the water a beautiful peachy color. I would assume the blue ones turn the water blue. I bet there are many similar products out there. I'd stay away from the pond dye -- it's really concentrated! You would probably look like a smurf after a bath!

I have a jetted tub with a light in it. The light came with both blue and red (eek!) filters.

I make my own bath salts and use food coloring to get the colors. I have a jetted tub and it doesn't bother it. I do stay away from any oils though. Maybe it is the salt that keeps it from staining the tub or me.
