Ok so my husband and i bought our first house in Dec 07, the house was made in the early 80's, the tile in the bathroom is peach and octogan shape, its on the floor and the walls are wallpapered, i really can't afford to retile the bathroom, the vanity needs to be replaced too, what color could i paint the walls to draw the eye upwards? what kind of vanity should i buy? dark wood? light wood? thanks for your help!

my first thought is that I immediately thought of white....
my suggestion is too look thru wallpaper books and fabric swatches to see what colors you can use w/ the peach and make the peach tile look like it was picked on purpose. Work w/ it.....That doesn't mean you put wallpaper in a bathroom - because that probably isn't the best idea because of steam and humidity...But wallpaper books have lots of color inspirations that may give you a jumping off point. Take you time...I moved into a house w/ pumpkin orange counters and tied it together w/ wallpaper - I actually like my orange counters now. No, i'm not going to keep them and someday i look forward to replacing them, but it definitely works better than it did 6 yrs ago when i moved into my house. ~~~becca~~~~ GO BUCKEYES!!!!! |
