Bathroom tile color combination Sign In/Join

Hello,

I am planning to do a remodeling of our master bathroom and I got an inspiration from the following post: http://www.houzz.com/photos/94...ary-bathroom-toronto. I liked the idea of the big mirror and the mosaic around it. I would like to use some of that kind of a mosaic in our shower as well. So far I found the following attached tile combination that I am thinking to use in the shower (disregard the dark cherry color on the left). We are going to have dark espresso cabinets. My questions:
1)Is this combination look fine to you?
2)Not sure which tile color to choose for the bathroom floor. Should I don't think I should go with a dark color considering that we will have dark cabinets?
3)Not sure what to choose for the shower floor.
4)How to apply that mosaic in the shower space. I don't want to have too much of it there.
5)We are going to have a bench in the shower, so I am not sure if I need to decorate that bench somehow.

Sorry for a lot of questions but I am not that good with visioning things
Thanks a lot!

??? Any particular bathroom shot of the photos?

Does the larger tile have some cream in it or is it white? (White shades can clash.)

Any reason you don't want to go white or cream on both the shower and b/r floor?

Personally, I would do a horizontal stripe with the mosaic and probably go either white or cream on the bench (like the floor).

Good Luck! All, JMHO.

I think, It is depend on your bath room texture. Before choosing bath tiles you must pay attention to color, size and shape when choosing tiles. Don't just select a single tile but instead find several different tiles that complement each other well...

Hello,

Bathroom tile colors have changed a lot over the past couple of decades. Choices now abound in tile selections for bathroom floors, walls or shower areas. With so many different options to tile a bathroom, it is difficult to determine which tile color will look best.

* A lot can be said for white tiles in a bathroom. They never go out of style, so you do not have to update your bathroom every few years as you might with more bold color choices. White goes with anything.

* Hand-painted tiles can be expensive, but purchasing these tiles for your bathroom gives you more control over the color. You can always find a hand-painted pattern that matches your bathroom perfectly.

* Black tiles always look nice in a bathroom, but if you use them make sure you use lighter colors for the walls and accessories or oterwise the bathroom will look too dark. If you have a lot of natural light coming into the bathroom, black tiles are a good choice. They are also a good color tile to combine with another color, such as green, red or blue. Try not to install them in any sort of a pattern. Placing the tiles more randomly really looks sophisticated.

Thanks a lot!
