PLZ HELP - IDEAS FOR WATER CLOSET
I've been working on converting my house from a traditional style to a very modern, sleek, museum type of space. The one room that stumps me is the water closet in the Master Bathroom. It is just too plain. It's 3'x6' and I've changed the floor to silver travertine tumbled marble. There's a 2-door cherry cabinet above the new Kohler Saile toilet. No window, only a ceiling light fixture. When guests come, we also make this bathroom available to them, but I want this room to POP...to be memorable...but MODERN. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. It's difficult to find design pictures of just plain old water closets online. Thank you!

Perhaps large, gilded silver framed mirrors on either side wall next to the toilet itself? Bottom hung about waist height, this could visually expand the space and increase the lighting.

Never would I put a mirror in front of (facing) the toilet, as no one using would want that view. Wink

I would hang large to medium modern art or enlarged black and white photography of modern subject matter to create gallery walls. The frames should be identical in a sleek metal finish. Be "off the wall" with the layout such as a random floor to ceiling corner layout for a modern and memorable presentation.

Optionally, an artsy display of modern wall decals or a grouping of typography are other possibilities.
