This is by far my favorite show on HGTV at the current time. These are such beautiful places and featuring buyers and sellers who when all is said and done have the same concerns we all have in choosing our homes.
Last night they featured a fantastic home that hangs over the West Side highway. We often drive this road going into the city and now in addition to watching for the light house by the Geo. Wash. bridge and for Grant's tomb I will be looking out for this house.
This episode on the "pumpkin house" was very interesting--this show is worthwhile since it shows a completely different type of real estate than the other shows on the network. Sometimes the people are annoying, other times I find them quite funny. The show is a good escape from the usual "you can do the job by yourself this weekend with just some plywood from the big box store"!

I am nowhere near the financial spending power of the buyers on Selling New York, but I absolutely adore the show as well. The real estate agents seem very down to earth and knowledgable (I love Maggie Kent and Michael Graves of CORE, and I enjoy Michele Kleier as well). I always look forward to new episodes. I prefer the Manhattan based episodes - not quite so interested in seeing vacation home hunting in Connecticut with the Kleiers or Hamptons vacation home rentals with CEO Osher or seeing a family home purchase for Samantha Kleier-Forbes' friend in the Yonkers/White Plains area - I forget the exact town. The other four boroughs of New York are great though - loved seeing the brownstones in Brooklyn and the $2.6 million DUMBO/Brooklyn penthouse with the amazing views of NYC.This message has been edited.
