sorry for all the questions today, but i'm a new gardener so i have lots of them!
anyway, i was wondering for next spring, when i plant tulips, you know how they usually fade away before lilies bloom? can i plant lilies on top of where my tulips were, and still have both grow next spring? if not, how do you advoid having that 'blank spot' in the garden once the tulips are done blooming? thanks in advance! Here is a link to a good article that explains how to do it:
Layering Bulbs I think I'll try this technique myself. Thanks for the idea! *Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light* |

I sow wild flower seeds over my tulip/iris bed ...it gives me some nice summer color and most reseed..

Since you are a new gardener, I just want to make sure that you know that you plant your tulips in the fall for spring blooming. As I have never worked with lilies, I can't help you there.
