Laminate in the kitchen Sign In/Join
Hello, I am thinking of doing laminate tile flooring in the kitchen. Is it a viable option? Can I put the laminate flooring under kitchen cabinets?

A Floating floor? not a good idea to put it under cabinets, as it will need to expand/contract a bit during the year.
Assuming you have floor anchored cabinetry (no legs), put the cabinets in first, then the flooring is installed with a small space around the perimeter of the room as well as cabinets. Covered then by cove molding.
Your chosen floor packaging and their website will answer any of your questions about installation.

I also agree that you should let run the flooring into the cabinets. Be careful of moisture in the kitchen as most laminates are not too water friendly.
