I recently added a new beadboard backsplash (with tile over the stove). I'm not happy with the green color on the walls, so I'm thinking of going pretty dramatic with some wallpaper. Trouble is, I have no idea what to pick.

Our cabinets are Showplace Cabinets in Antique Linen (Caramel glaze). You can see in the photos that our island is Espresso. The counters are a run-of-the-mill Giallo Fiorito.

It's clear we have a country flavor going on here... it's certainly not modern, hehe. I was thinking something with a pattern, perhaps with a yellow and brown background? I've even kicked around the thought of using a woven type paper just to add some texture. Call me crazy, but grey/tobacco weave was in my head.

Any thoughts?

Before backsplash (sorry for the mess!)

Yeah, the area in question is just above the cabinets and the narrow area left and right of the window.

Painting would certainly be easier. Smile I'm just stuck on color I guess. We've had a color similar to the cabinets, as well as the current green, but neither satisfied me. Do you think some deep brown to go with the espresso island (and floor) might work?
