Small Hood for Undercabinets, looking for 18" clearance

I'm remodeling my NYC apartment. I'm not too tall and so want the Upper Cabinets as low as possible so I'm looking for a hood which requires only about 18" of clearance above an electric cooktop. (The cootop is the GE 21" Electric Radiant Cooktop which needs only 18" above it.) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

GE offers a low-profile slide-out vent. We had one in our last house. Very cool and works great!
