tinted wood sealer Sign In/Join

I am going to change up my kitchen cabinets. They are plain Oak, with a routered trim around the doors. They have been up for 5 years, and other than cleaning, haven't done anything to them.
I plan on painting the trim the same color as I will have on my walls. The door panels (and also the front of the drawers) I would just like to get the wood a little more brown than the oak color...a shde like pecan, or a light walnut...something more brown than yellow oak or reddish cherry.
I see there are wood sealers that come in tints...but so far I can't find the information I seek...so, maybe here I can get some help.

I can lightly sand the panels if need be, I will give the cabinets a good cleaning before I start anything...rather than actually staining them again, am I wrong in thinking I can find a good sealer with a tint that I can wipe on the doors to give them that brownish color I want?
What tinted sealer would I use...or is there another fairly easy way to create this effect?
Thank you.
