I like the warm colors, the chef with the chalkboard, the coffee accessories etc. Problem is I know what I like but just can't put it together. What color for the walls? Accent color? Ideas? HELP!

I think of French bistros as having strong colors, red, black and white e.g. red and white check tablecloths, or maybe black and white floors. I think of the classic red Le Creuset pots and pans and tableware, in other words lots of warm red would be involved. The whole idea is to project a warm, intimate casual atmosphere that celebrates great and simple food. I've seen French country kitchen looks and accessories in catalogs (e.g. Ballard Designs).
