What to put above kitchen cabinets Sign In/Join

We just recently moved to a new house and the ceilings are higher than in our last house. I had a bunch of stuff (baskets, vases, knick knacks, etc) above the cabinets in our previously. I am not sure if I want to do the same thing here. Seems like been there done that. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have a few collectible items...wire mesh egg basket, crockery, my grandmother's large pyrex mixing bowl. I had to put a piece of wood on top of the cabinet to set each item on it raise it high enough to be seen. And not a lot of items.

I like just a few larger items and things that are easy to clean. As it is, right now, I need to get the ladder in and take everything down for a good cleaning. Those large items are easier to clean than a bunch of little stuff.
