I have laminate counter tops that look like granite, green marbleized grain with tan and black. They are in good condition and I am not ready to change them but want to put up a back splash for better overlook and easier cleaning. Right now it is only painted above the 4 inch laminate backslash. I'm not sure if I can just put something above the laminate slash or remove the splash that is there and then add something else. Not sure what i should use either. What are your thoughts or ideas for a back splash? Thanks

Maybe a full height solid surface back splash would tie nicely to the top.

A lot of fabricators have drop pieces and it can be done economicly.

I have seen it done and it looks pretty darn good.
