Granite countertops but what for backsplash??
Granite countertops but what for backsplash?? Sign In/Join
I am replacing the 30 year old metal edged formica in the house we just bought. Previous owners also ran it up the back to the cabinet bottoms and along the sides - 1/2 way up the side walls. it is a galley kitchen. Do I just drywall? At a loss at how you finish off the back of the counter where the granite meets the backsplash

Can you post a picture so we can see where the laminate is installed?

If you want to drywall under the cabinets and paint you can just install a 3-4" granite backsplash that matches the counters. My granite counters do not have an additional backsplash piece- the tile starts under the cabinets and meets the counters.
