mountainbeachWood floor installation ?
We are starting to do some redecorating and minor renovating to our home. Flooring will be included and we're taking it one room at a time. My question is, if we want all the same wood flooring throughout the house, should we do it at the end after ALL the rooms are finished or do it as we finish up EACH room? TIA

I would do all of the flooring at one time. Even with the dustless sanding it is still a messy operation and requires you vacate the house while the floors are drying, though water based finishes dry quickly and can be done in about 1 day. You'll also want to weave the floors together to give you a finished look. If you go with prefinished floors the older floors will look different than the newer ones and you also run the risk of your style going out of production during the course of your project.

Bob FlemingEchoing Sparky's recommendation, do purchase ALL of the flooring at one time, hopefully from the same lot; then let it acclimate in the house for at least two days, but preferably more like two weeks. Even solid hardwood can vary from lot to lot.
