Do you think a floor heating mat is sufficient to be the only source of heat in a 8x5 bathroom? I was told it would be ok.

It's a nuheat floor warming system; 2'x8',laid in thinset, more thinset then tile. It has an electrical hook up and thermostat and it's for a Chicago bathroom.

I do not think it would be enough heat for the brutal Chicago winters. I live in NE, and even with regular heat registers, it's still mighty cold getting out of the shower. I don't think it would keep the bathroom at a very comfortable temp. Nice on the feet, but I don't think it would be enough. I could be wrong though...
