Trying to FIND Tile for remodeling job
I am looking for Daltile Callista 13 x 13 Warm White CT01. According to what I am reading it is no longer being made. I need some pieces in order to have my floor redone. How or where do I go to find builders that have a box laying around that never got used. I went to my builder and actually looked through his pile of extra's and could not find any. I really would like any help you can give me to locate the tile.

If you go to the retrorenovation.com website there is a tile dealer in NJ that has all sorts of discontinued tile. Maybe you'll get lucky and they can find some for you and have it shipped.

Maybe this won't work, but do you have a closet in the room that has that tile in it? You can always put different tile in a closet. Otherwise is sounds like you are lookin in the right places. How about local tile layers....they may know of someone that has recently used that type of tile and had extras left over.

You have the company name. I would search for distributors of the companies products. Once they are located you can contact them individually with the style/color to see if they have any left in their inventory. Some may be small enough to remember who they actually sold that variation to. It's a shot in the dark but never the less a shot.

Air1, please tell us where you are! Put it in your profile like I have done so we won't have to ask again.

In SoCA there were a couple stores that made a point of handling "out of print" tile; they were in Anaheim. Foreign made tile is usually made in batches and shipped here. Once that batch is gone, you are out of luck. But I believe Daltile is US made and should be available from someone. Going to be tough to find, but don't give up easily.

I updated my profile. I found a place in NJ that is a discontinued tile place and sent them a message. I am not going to give up easy. I will try and find it, because it is a good product. Daltile is US and I am going to see if they can help in finding the tile.

It shouldn't be so difficult to find, after all, you're not the only person that needs this product. You should check this kitchen remodel resource, maybe you'll get lucky and you'll find what you need.

Air1, one would think someone does have a piece of that tile pattern lying around somewhere, but the problem is in finding it!

In desperation, you can cut out several pieces of the tile floor - with the hope that a couple survive - and then create a pattern of slightly contrasting tiles in those openings. Random contrasting tiles can be used effectively.

Added: BTW, this is a good reason to save extra tiles from a tile job. I always gave extra pieces to my customers to save in case one cracked.
