I have a vanity that is 59" wide with only one sink. I would like to have two sinks. I'm thinking that I could have two sinks if I use the bowls that sit on top of the counter. Maybe that would not be as crowded as in the counter itself. Does anyone have any ideas or sense of whether this makes sense or not?

I wish you had gotten some responces because I was wondering about something like that also. I have a 61 inch vanity (with wall on each end) that only has one sink. I was thinking of seeing if I could get two sinks, but I hate to give up the counter space.

I hope you are still looking for a reply. With that much width you should be fine using either a vessel (top mounted sink) or standard sinks. It really also depends on your access to plumbing the additional drain. You may even have to move your existing drain and move it. Generally I believe the distance fom the wall is supposed to be 13" from side wall to center of sink. When you buy your new vanity top discuss this with the store. You can also get free advice and look at bowl options in many stores. They will even lay out the measurements, etc for you. Take good measurements, decide where you want the sinks to be positioned and start shopping. It may be a tad cramped and little counter space but it sure helps when you have to share a sink!
Good Luck!
