I am looking for large 29 x 29 floor register that they used to use in old houses when coal stoves were used to hray houses. If anyone knows whete i could find one i would appreciate knowing where. Thanks Nancy | ||

Agree, that is a very large register. You can try Restoration Hardware and similar companies online. | ||||

I thought about Restoration Hardware too Bob before I posted but a search there came up empty. There was one at the link I posted. Other places I checked didn't go anywhere near that size, I couldn't find anything that large in a reproduction but I didn't go past the first page of search results. Are you looking for one to replace in the existing large hole? Or is this for some other reason/project? It may be possible to create a hardwood frame that could fit the existing hole and still hold a smaller grate. One would create extra support from underneath, of course. | |||

There's at least one listed on ebay right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Antiqu...812-12-/200813615095 Try calling area HVAC companies. Sometimes they salvage things like that when updating systems in old houses. | |||
