Try Google. Here is one, but that is a big grate.

If you have an architectural salvage company in your city that would be the first place I'd try locally.

General Disclaimer

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Agree, that is a very large register. You can try Restoration Hardware and similar companies online.

I thought about Restoration Hardware too Bob before I posted but a search there came up empty. There was one at the link I posted. Other places I checked didn't go anywhere near that size, I couldn't find anything that large in a reproduction but I didn't go past the first page of search results.

Are you looking for one to replace in the existing large hole? Or is this for some other reason/project?

It may be possible to create a hardwood frame that could fit the existing hole and still hold a smaller grate. One would create extra support from underneath, of course.

There's at least one listed on ebay right now.

Try calling area HVAC companies. Sometimes they salvage things like that when updating systems in old houses.
