Custom build-in options Sign In/Join

Hello all,
I was wanting a custom build-in for my master bedroom (which is a rather small room), and the cabinet company that I found in my phone book wanted 8 thousand dollars to do the project. I started looking for DIY projects but couldn't find anything. Anybody have ideas on how to achieve this look without paying big dollars? Any help would be appreciated.

What are you looking to accomplish with the built-in?

Book shelves, Murphy Bed, clothes storage, desk? Can you find any pictures on-line of what you're thinking of doing?

Here are some ideas you could probably do with stock kitchen cabinets.

General Disclaimer

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
