Do real life 'Property Brother's exist?
We are moving from Memphis, TN to Miami, FL. We have found that South Florida homes do not fit our taste at all and are interested in knowing if there are companies that would do a similar service that the Property Brothers do. We'd like to know when looking at the homes what are options are for renovations rather than buying a home and hoping we can make the changes that we'd like.

I would likely engage the services of an Interior Designer and/or an architect depending on how extensive the remodeling work would be. If you are looking to remove walls to open a space I'd lean more towards the architect. They'd need to determine if the walls could be removed without installing additional support beams which could involve the consultation services of a structural engineer.

General Disclaimer

Any advice given here is general in nature and is not necessarily valid for your given area. If in doubt check with your local codes enforcement department for what is required when doing electrical, plumbing or structural work on your house. Permits may or may not be required in your area and home owners may not be able to DIY some tasks. I have no way of knowing if you have the skills needed to complete the tasks you are asking about, when in doubt seek professional assistance.

My advice may be worth exactly what you pay me for it. :-) For the record I did not stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
