I am looking at a property in MD. I feel the property has potential however the asking price is bit high. I think this is an ideal property to redo everything by gutting it and doing a new design. I am wishing that some how Property Brothers might be interested and ask to do a show about it. But regardless, if anyone has any recommendation on general contractor or someone that do a job that the guys in Property Brothers do in the DC/MD region please let me know. Also, is there a way to get an estimate prior to placing an offer on the property? I mean would a design/remodel co. give me an estimate based off photos?

I seriously doubt that property brothers ever read these forums. If you are serious about talking to them, attempt to reach them through one of the "contact" forums. But don't hold your breath waiting for a response.

You really need to contact someone from the area, and don't expect a contractor or designer to respond to photos. Do expect a contractor to charge for any design opinions.

IMHO buying a house with the plan to gut it and redo it is a guaranteed money loser. It might work if you did the work yourself, but it is hard to do well financially by having a contractor do it.
