I am considering buying a fixer upper and the washer and dryer are currently in kitchen and I would like them to be somewhere else. the only real place for them in, is in garage which is about 20 feet away. what would this entail, house is slab foundation.

An unheated garage in Ohio would not be an ideal location for your washer and dryer. I'd rethink this move. If you REALLY want to do laundry in a freezing cold garage in January moving the units there would involve running a drain line, all down hill to the nearest drain line. It may involve cutting into the slab foundation, it could involve a sump pump to pressurize the water to pump it to the drain pipe. I can't see your garage from my office so I can't say for sure what it would take or how much it would cost. Generally speaking getting the supply there isn't as bad because the water is under pressure and you can run supply lines up and over things if you have to.

Keep in mind your supply lines and drain lines could freeze in Ohio in an unheated garage.
