    i have a question(if someone can help)
    can you use beadboard for a flooring?
    i want to redo the floor in my sunroom.
    it has berber carpet now

    I guess anything is possible. Better hire a full time maid as it will be terrible to try to keep clean not to mention the wear factor of the beadboard is shortlived as compared to a hardwood.

    Most beadboard I have seen comes in sheets and is basically painted MDF. It will not last more than a couple months in traffic areas.

    I agree the beadboard we put on our bathroom walls is mdf and i knicked it when vacuuming and not only did the paint chip off it dented the wood. I'd never use it as flooring.

    They do make regular wood bead-board in varing widths (3"-5-1/2". Most have a half lap to join them together. The majority are pine or poplar and will not handle the traffic.
