I want to redo my room, but the problem is the last time I redid it I painted this beautiful mural on my wall. It took a lot of time, and I don't want to paint over it. But, it is a hawaiian theme which I am no longer interested in. Is there a way of covering the wall without wreaking the painting underneath?

I would really appreciate some help!!!

Thank you

Hi,

I know you want to save that mural... I love my murals and hate to cover them up.

I have used fabric to "wallpaper" over murals with nice results.

I actually go to a bargain fabric store and purchase yards of one solid color fabric. Staple gun the fabric to the wall. You can cover the wall with batting before the fabric and this will add to the Upholstered look.

On the seams and outside edges you can use ribbon or upholstery tacks to create a finished look.

Once every few months I dust the fabric with a swiffer.

Use this fabric wall as a focal wall color... and paint the other walls with complimentary colors. (paint before you attach the fabric)

good luck Debra
