I am getting new western living room furniture and would like to paint my living room first but don't know what colors to use or what faux painting to do. I need a little help to decide what to do.

There are literally hundreds of finishes and then some. These are the questions you need to ask yourself. What is the look you are after, what colors do you want to use, do you want something soft or more dramatic, do you want textured or smooth. I have a whole lot of other questions, but you get the point. You need to post more information so someone can help you.

Above my fireplace, I painted it cream and then rubbed on chocolate color with a towel. it looks great and tons of people have asked if it was leather!
