I just watched Design on a Dime 35 Secrets... and they showed a concrete overlay for countertops but didn't specify where or who makes it. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm moving a house that I got at a steal and will be renovating the entire structure. I was planning on doing my own concrete countertops but the laminate are structurally sound and this looked like an inexpensive option. Any help/tips/ideas are appreciated.
I watched that episode, too, and thought that the concrete overlay was a cool and less expensive alternative. I just spent 30 minutes searching the whole site for what that product was he found to no avail. If anyone knows what that product was, please let me know!
I saw the same thing. All i could find was this, http://www.concretenetwork.com/concrete/countertops/des...ntertop-overlay.html that woman did the same thing but it doesn't say what the product name is other then Concrete Solutions Resurfacing Mix but there is a link to her site you could contact her and ask her.
OK so I guess the name of the product is SkimStone. If anyone uses it, please come educate the rest of us. It looks rough. I would think it might be hard to clean. Just thinking.....

Skimstone is the product and its applied to a nice smooth finish. Works great for countertops and floors. And there are many other products but Modern Masters Skimstone will probably be the most accessible. Takes a lot of practice. If you are doing a lot of it I'd suggest taking a course. -Dan
