My condo is filled with textured walls and I hate them. How do I remove the texture from the walls, so I can paint and get a smooth wall finish?

Is it a heavy stucco? Or a knock-down finish?
Generally, many will do a light sanding first, then skimcoat the wall with Joint compound. Sand again to smooth, then prime and paint.

To remove textures you'll need a hand sander with 60 grit paper, sand all the wall area then sand again with 80 grit, then use Durabond 90 in the brown bags, mix it up so it's like soft serve ice cream, then use a knife or trowel to apply mud to walls then smooth it out, after it drys in a couple hours then use your knife to shave any lines or high spots, then skim coat it with Topping Compound it is easy to sand, then prime spot with spackle then paint two finish coats of paint. Good luck
