I am tired of my brass fireplace doors and would like to repaint them if possible. I would like to make them a dark chocolate brown. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You will have to use a special high heat paint. They may make it in a dark bronze. It usually comes in black, like a gas grille color, and some appliance colors.

Since you mentioned appliance colors, do they now have stainless "colored" paint? I hate the bright brass.
