Picture of sandy mcp
I need help. I recently stripped 2 living room end tables - I think from the 60/70's. They look to be oak. I thought I did everything right - stripped all old stain & varnish off, sanded and wiped down with mineral spirits. I was using a dark stain. There are spots that did not take the stain - mostly on the top surface and the lower flat surface. What do I do to fix this?

I wonder if you did really get the old finish old stripped off. That happened to me once. Can you post a px?
