Charles Dwater based enamel
My local paint store recommended I have my B.M. trim color formulated with Muralo "Waterborne" satin enamel. It is a latex based paint that dries hard and smooth like an oil, but with easy clean up. The paint wasn't cheap at $25. per quart, but I'm getting excellent coverage and the finish is so mellow and rich looking. Never used this paint before, but I'm happy they recommended it.

conradThanks for sharing!
The pro paint stores are the BEST places to get advice on all painting needs, and they do know their products.
Plus, if for any reason it would not perform for you as they recommended, you can return it for replacement or money back.
Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Diamond Vogel and others pro paint stores, NOT just a "paint department" in another store!

Charles DI had painted a few pieces of furniture using a BM satin oil based enamel. So when I mentioned to the paint store clerk that I wanted a similar effect, he immediately recommended the Muralo. I have to say he was right on the money, the trim work looks almost identical to the oil. It is a local franchise of a "name" store here in NJ and these guys really know their stuff.

jaysmom49BM's Advance water cleanup alkyd paint has gotten really good reviews on this board. Charles, I may be PM you soon for the name of the paint store for the Muralo since we're just a few miles from each other. Have a Merry Christmas!
