We have a bedroom set that is finished in an off white color. I want to paint it white. What is the best way to do this and make it durable. My husband was thinking of using a paint sprayer? What type of paint is best, and what finish? Thanks,

paint sprayer sounds like a good idea to me (especially if he's willing to do it!). i've always heard that oil based paint is the most durable but the clean up is tedious. acrylic paint with a couple coats of a good poly should be fine.

A pro paint store would be a great place to find answers. (Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, etc)
Remove all hardware and doors/drawers. Entire drawer fronts and side edge returns (back an inch or two) are usually painted (or where ever the prior finish was). A really clean, lightly sanded surface will allow a primer to stick really well. Then a couple coats of a great quality, self leveling, enamel paint. There are commercially rated latex enamels, that work very well, besides the solvent based enamels.
