We are about to have just the interior trim painted in our home. The walls are just fine. We've never hired a painter for a job as large as this. I'm wondering if there is a rule of thumb as to how much they charge.
In our case, our neighbor is out of work and I believe he will be doing the work. He does a good job, but is not a professional.
I've searched this a little on the internet but all I come up with are prices to have entire rooms painted, not the trim only.
Any info is greatly appreciated...
I'm not sure, but you might try calling Sherwin Williams to see if they have know. They deal with paint contractors everyday. I found this link too:

It's best to have your job bid by at least three professionals. Painting can take as many hours as someone likes so I'd only compare them by total, fixed price, including the most important step, prep work.
