How can I un-stick envelopes. I tried the freezer trick, but it didn't work.

So.....are these just empty/unused envelopes, that maybe got stored where there was high humidity? If they are...TOSS them out!

You need steam to unstick the envelopes. I used to open sealed envelopes with steam when I was nosey child. The steam doesn't destroy the glue and you can reglue the envelopes. If you don't want to spend a lot of time over a steaming pot or tea kettle try a steam iron or microwave oven with a cup of water in it.

slit them with a letter opener then reseal with tape or glue when you use them.

This response cracked me up , but I agree that the steam method is probably your best bet.
Then again, you can find inexpensive envelopes in a dollar store. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Froo Froo,

They are for greeting cards, so are a special size, not regular business size.
