We started out talking household chores BUT there is a lot more to keeping a house running than just keeping it clean. So, who does what when it comes to filing tax returns, ordering heating supplies (propane, oil or wood), monitoring the bank account, checking out insurance and filing the required forms, roof repair after storms, sprinkler system maintenance/blow outs, furnace and hot water failures, air-conditioning units, paying monthly bills, television and computer problems and list goes on and on ~ who does what in these situations? Cool

In our house I do all that you listed above. Well, never had storm bad enough to require roof repairs and have natural gas so need to order those other supplies, so scratch those items from the list.

bringing it back to the chores thing. We have a wood burning stove in the basement and it has designs on the sides, sort of like woodland scenes with animals etc. Every year DH blackens the surfaces of this stove. I am so envious of that chore! It makes such a difference in the way the stove looks and seems simple to do, but alas it is his!

So do any of you envy the chores your DH does? Makes me think of when DGD was little and she went into his work area and said "is there anything I can hammer? I just want to hammer something!" That's the way I feel about some tasks. . . sometimes I just want to try them!

I love using the riding lawnmower! We got one of those zero-turn radius ones...talk about fun. LOL!

Wanda, you should take it out for a spin when he's not home! Razz
