Is there any way to restore World War II United States Naval uniforms (White) to their original "whiteness"?

My Father was a Navy man himself, unfortunately I don't have any of his uniforms, though I wish I did... only thing I think I would suggest is taking the uniform to a Dry Cleaner that also deals with wedding dresses and Restoration, if they can't do it perhaps they can direct you to someone who can. Good luck, I hope you find the facility that will help you.

I agree. The fabric might be too fragile for anyone to "refresh" it that hasn't had experience with that sort of a problem before.

I might ask at a reputable antiques store to ask for recommendations. Would hate to have dry cleaner say SURE, we can do this and then have your items ruined?!?

I have my Grandfather's WOOL bell-bottom pants and "blouse" (an Uncle in Navy during WWII said THAT'S what they were called) from WWI!! Always thought my Grandfather was a "big" guy, but these pieces of clothing are REALLY petit! But then, think he was only 18-19 yo at the time.
