Finally got around to using gel gloss on my fiberglass surround in tub area. It is a MIRACLE product! First I cleaned the fiberglass with magic eraser(dry) and then with a sponge with an abrasive back(again dry). Gor a little light-headed with the dirt and dust that accumulated in the bathtub even though the window was open. I then applied the gel gloss as per the label directions. My walls look white, clean and brand-spanking new!! It does a great job on the old bathroom faucets too!
I gotta chime in and say how much I love this stuff too! I used it 3 or 4 weeks ago on my tile tub surround that is right beside where I use hairspray. Somehow the Gel Gloss repels the oversprayed hairspray. I usually have to clean it a couple of times a week but it's staying sparkly clean! Also used it on the tiled shower and it repels soap scum. Great on the faucets as well!
I have been singing the praises of this stuff for two decades...ever since a plumber introduced me to it! Maybe the manufacturer should send us all cases for our promotion of it??

Buy it usually at a hardware or home improvement store in the cleaning area. Comes in a pink pint can for about 5 dollars, that lasts a lot longer than the aerosol spray version of it. Apply like a wax, let dry to a haze and polish with a soft, dry cloth. Yes, you can use it on porcelain, acrylic, real and fabricated marble, stainless steel, chrome, fiberglass and laminate counter surfaces.

Thank you Conrad! I got one of the cans so I'm good to go!
I like the stuff, but it should NEVER be applied to any horizontal surface that is walked upon... like a tub or a tile floor... because it will become dangerously slippery as glass. I use it in liquid form on my solid surface shower walls but am careful not to get any it on the shower floor. If you use the spray form, be careful of overspray that can easily get on the floor.

I have been using gel gloss since I was a teenager, (it was my job to clean the bathroom lol) we used it on the rim of the tub, the whole sink and the whole toilet. My dad was friends with someone who was a manager at a hotel and he told my dad they used gel gloss on the bathroom fixtures to keep them shining and for easier cleaning. I love using this stuff nothing sticks to the sink and it makes everything shine so nicely!!
Conrad ~ I hate to be redundant, but I cannot possibly THANK YOU ENOUGH for telling us about it. I got in on the first thread about this product. It is not hard to apply, but it would be worth any effort put into its application.
As you said, "the toothpaste just slides down the sink!"

It works well but it sure stinks. Use in a very well ventilated area. I have the spray kind after seeing that people use it here but want to try the liquid one out in the can.
After reading these posts, I dug in my cupboard and found spray and can I have had for years, but for some reason hardly never used..Well yesterday I did my bathroom chrome..omg it was fantastic, I even showed my son that has a teenage girl that makes a big mess in the bathroom, I told him I would come over and his bathroom just to show how great it is especially after she takes a shower. He is sceptical..I am looking forward to this..It does remind me on carnuba car was a little.who cares it WORKS. thinking of doing my boat. ha.ha.
