Fran: is this the one you have https://www.officialtvwebsite2.com/monster-1200/index.asp?did=644&refcode=Mon1
After going into the above site, they stated first 3 payments of $33.33 and then it stated they will give you the last payment free, so total cost would be $66.66 Plus s/h. is this what you paid? After reading your reviews, I think I will buy one, but have a couple of questions 1. is the hand held steamer heavy to carry around after it is filled with the solution, or can you just sit it on the floor and use the long nosels 2. Re: the solution did yours come with it, if not did you make up your own or did you use plain water. 3. You mentioned you bought the floor attachements as you had smooth floors, I have tiled floors in all but 2 rooms, do I need the floor attachments (didn't see it on there web site or maybe I missed it)) or will the scrub brush work. the reason I am asking this is: I have been using a mop on my floors and I notice in some places it does not get the dirt up ( yes I vacuum it first, in case you were going to ask this L.O.L) 4. can you use it to clean painted woodwork 5.(and last question, if you can answer this) My window have the silver colored aluminum frames and they are black spots on some of them, do you think the steamer would get it looking like new again Sorry for all the questions, but do appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks |

Hi TashasMom -- I'll try to answer as best I can:
I paid $118 with the floor attachements and shipping... 1. The steamer is not that heavy but also comes with a shoulder strap which I use a lot. It can be a little ackward at times with the attachments connected. (Read the istructions that come with it on how to attach everything, as for cleaning instruction there isn't much info - I watched the info-mercial again and even called customer service and they were very helpful.) 2. I use distilled water b/c our well water causes gunk. I have used their solution only...as per the instructions. 3. Yes - you will need the floor attachments and it should work well on ceramic floors. I sometimes have to wipe the corners after by hand, but not always. I use the micro-fiber cloth tha came with it as well as my own cloths. The "gripper" on the floor attachment really holds well and you can get into corners fairly well. 4. The instructions say as long as the wood is "sealed" --painted is sealed - I guess -- I have used it on our small hardwood but sealed foyer and painted baseboards, worked well. 5. Not sure if it will remove the black spots on the frame -- I know what you mean - just not sure. Maybe if you try the steamer with a cleaner or magic scrubby thing... Well, I hope that helps and let us know what you think after you have tried it a few times!!! Fran |

TashasMom
Yes - it's the right one. On the very bottom of the web page there is a customr service link in blue -- here's the information: Customer Service: Phone: 1-800-746-0767 Email: info@monster1200.com When I ordered, it was from the phone# on the informercial - sorry don't have that, but the customer service # should work for you. Let me know what you think... Fran |

Fran: I called the C/S Dept. yesterday and ordered it along with the floor attachment, I had asked if the scrub brush that came with it would work on the floor attachments ( as we all know somethings have to be scrubbed) she said no and basically gave me the same answer you stated using there pads.
I took out the warranty,$10.00 ( don't ask me why,as I usually don't on any product) and my total cost was $114.59 making it in 2 payments. What I forgot to ask her "what do you use the scrub brush on" have you used yours? Can't wait to get it and try it out and that's my spending for a long time, especially the way the economy is going Will have to go back on this board again, and see what you and everyone wrote on what they used there steam/vapor cleaners on. |

Glad you ordered it! I hope you are as happy as I am. I have not used the brushes, they are small and just haven't found anything to use them on --yet!

Fran, how easy is it to wash the floors with the steamer? ALso, do you have to use the solution that comes with it or can you just use water? How well has it done with the rest of your cleaning?
I bought the Haan steamer but it does only floors. I think I'd like one to do more like shower doors, etc. TIA. |

Charcoalsmom -- sorry this reply took so long -
I swiffer - dust - my floors first (which I would do even if I scrubbed on my hands n knees) then attach the microfiber cloth (included) or any clean cloth to the floor attachment and hold the steamer by the shoulder strap and clean away. I have used both plain water and the solution. It's pretty easy and gets into the corners pretty good. I usually wipe corners with another cloth, anyway. As for shower doors..I think it would work well. It does a great job on windows... I have used it on my stove top (black - which is hard to clean), sinks, tub, floors, windows, french door tracks-yuk - , upholstery, rugs, carpeting, grill (outdoor) and probably more that I can't think of....it cleans really well - some areas need additional scrubbing or cleaners as needed but overall I really like it and I like the idea I'm not using strong smelling cleaners with who-knows-what kind of chemicals. I have allergies and have to be careful. Just let me know if you have any other questions. Fran |
