I have a couple of drawers that I can't take out of a desk and a entertainment center.. When moved they will roll out so what can I buy to secure them? I thought of painters tape I don't want to take the finish off the wood. Any brand the best?

Movers often use a large roll of plastic cling wrap around furniture several times, as it sticks to itself rather than the wood. You could easily do the same thing, or just use plastic trash bags and tape strapped all around and over the top of them, so any type of tape or string could hold it shut.

Conrad is right & you can use plain old cling wrap we use for food storage too!

Might not work on a desk or entertainment center because of how they are constructed, but using a bungee cord on something smaller that you can get it all around the item, like a file cabinet is an idea.

The way it is made I don't know if any of those would work. I am not sure I am using movers.

Using cling wrap on it would take a whole lot and even then I think with moving it would tear.

3 thicknesses of the plastic wrap is REALLY strong, you will not be able to tear it. Sam's club has the really large "deli sized" rolls of it should you want to use it.

But the blue painter's tape can also work without damaging the finish, just use enough to hold things shut, and if you can wrap it all around, so much the better. And of course removing the drawers can also be an option.

My DD moved in August, and the movers secured her dresser drawers with plastic wrap as described here.
Glad Wrap's largest roll is 300 ft. long and costs under $3. That might be enough for the number of drawers you're securing. But if it takes 2 rolls, it's still not exactly budget-busting.

If you are doing it yourself, many rental places for trucks (uhaul, etc) have the blankets and supplies for this sort of thing. Otherwise, an old blanket or the plastic wraps mentioned above are good options.

I've used blue painters' tape on furniture doors, but never for very long. I think that may be key, getting the tape off before heat and/or time has caused it to bond with the furniture. Good luck!
