Another thing that I forgot to say was that after I let sheets air for a day I fold the top sheet and put in the closet...then I put a bar of soap on top of that sheet...then I fold the fitted sheet and put another bar of soap on...then the pillowcases with a bar of soap between them.

The soap I use is thin pieces that are too small to wash with but I just can't bring myself to throw them out.

They make the linens smell very fresh!!!!!!

I grew up in an old house...nothing historic...just old. We had space heaters and window a/c units. When faced with empty parents closed off rooms not used. The whole house smelled musty. After parents' deaths, my youngest brother moved in. As things were sorted through he found laundry dryer sheets all over the place! Tucked in closets, between linens, in the cedar chests, etc.

Well...MOF...most of the contents of the cedar chests were spread out over beds with the lids on the cedar chests open. They really are not a good idea for storage.
